Bob Odenkirk falls into the 'Better Call Saul' set



"Better Call Saul" star Bob Odenkirk fell off a New Mexico show on Tuesday and had to be hospitalized.

Staff members called an ambulance and took the 58-year-old player to hospital, where he was staying Tuesday night, a person close to Odenkirk who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter told the Associated Press.


It was not immediately clear what caused the fall, or how long Odenkirk could be hospitalized.


"You'd better call Saul," the spin-off prequel to "Breaking Bad," was shooting its sixth and final season, which will be on the AMC next year.


Like "Bad Breaking," "Saul's Best Call" is set in and mostly shot at Albuquerque.


An email sent to an AMC representative is asking for more information or the report was not returned immediately.


Odenkirk has been nominated for four Emmys to play the name of the actor, a less fortunate lawyer named Jimmy McGill who is getting worse and worse and taking the title of Saul Goodman.


Michael McKean, Odenkirk who was a partner who played his brother in the game, was among the many who wished Odenkirk the best in social media.


"Sending great love to our @mrbobodenkirk," McKean said. “You got this, brother.”


Odenkirk's first hospitalization was reported by TMZ.


Prior to "Saul's" role, which he also starred in "Breaking Bad," Odenkirk was best known for "Mr. Show with Bob and David," a series of plays he performed with David Cross which premiered on HBO from 1995 to 1998.


He has won two Emmys, for his writing on "Ben Stiller Show" and "Saturday Night Live."


She has appeared in HBO's "Larry Sanders Show" and in the films "The Post," "Young Women" and "Nobody."
