 Kasie Hunt Leaves NBC News, MSNBC

Kasie Hunt, a reporter for NBC News which is considered to be on the rise in recent years, is leaving NBCUniversal.

Hunt surprised viewers on Friday on his MSNBC morning show, "Way Too Early," by revealing that he was making his final broadcast. "This will be my last broadcast with all of you," he said, promising to unveil details of "my new trip in the next few weeks." An MSNBC spokesman could not be reached for comment.

Hunt, who also worked as a reporter for NBC News' Capitol Hill, had been with the network since 2013. He has gained increasing prominence over the years, and hosted MSNBC's Sunday night program, "KasieDC," before taking the cable Space Space very early in the morning.
