Knotts Berry Farm park rangers fled in panic as they opened fire on the two youths of the park
A car crash injured two young boys outside Knotts Berry Farm on Friday night, July 9, and sent crowds of people fleeing the amusement park, some falling and twisting their ankles as the park pulled out and fear spread, others hiding with strangers in the bathrooms. , storage areas and refrigerators.
The dispatches received several reports of gunfire near the front door of the park at 8:27 pm, at Buena Park Police Sgt. Said Mario Escamilla. Several rounds of traffic were driven from Beach Boulevard, south of La Palma. That’s outside of the North-East Knotts section that includes Camp Snoopy.
One boy was treated by the Orange County Fire Authority before being taken to hospital, and another boy later appeared there, Escamilla said. They did not immediately appear to be seriously injured. Their age and other details were not available.
Nothing was said about the shooting or the car, Escamilla said on Saturday. The pre-shooting altercation is still under investigation.
The Instagram post shows a young man wearing a black jacket, black trousers, and double white shoes, showing what appears to be a bullet hole in his jacket and blood seeping into it. He said in the video he was shot in the leg. Escamilla said the video "appears" to be the victim of the shooting but investigators have not yet confirmed that.
Knotts said it would open on Saturday. Many calls to media relations have received a busy announcement on Saturday.
Park-goers' accounts for the shooting and subsequent panic were cold.
Zachery Lewis was in the park with his family members when "unknowingly people started running around in big cars," told Adrian Pineda, OC Hawk videographer. “At first I stared, thinking it was a fire because I could smell it burning. But then I heard: ‘The gun! A gun! A gun! ’“ “
Lewis said he saw people being hit and falling immediately after the incident. He tried to help others to get up, removed his shoulder from the process, and said, with his arm held high and supported by his friend. He was separated from the people he was with and injured while hiding in a toilet with strangers.
