Genshin Impact gets saved on all platforms in update 2.0
The major update of Genshin Impact 2.0 took place this month on July 21, and with all the many new features coming to what may be the biggest game update ever, engineer miHoYo has indicated that it will once again add full support to all platforms.
A major update of the smash hit Genshin Impact is already underway to add a new electro-themed region of Inazuma to the already big game, not to mention the certainty of the new characters and the new powers that the Traveler will bring. Now, miHoYo is also dropping the bomb that Genshin Impact will eventually receive ongoing savings across all its various platforms.
Whether players download Genshin Impact on PC via Epic or miHoYo launcher, PS4, PS5, or mobile phone, after dragging 2.0 updates they will be able to link PSN and miHoYo accounts using the same email address. This will allow players to share progress and any in-game data across all platforms and easily continue their game on a different system.
There is a catch of this, though. While players needed to use the same email address to link both miHoYo and PSN accounts, that email address could not be used to play Genshin already for both of them. If you sign in to Genshin on both PS4 / PS5 and PC before upgrading to 2.0, you will have to use a different email address for one of them.
Other than that, this is good news for Genshin Impact players because this is a long-overdue feature and can add a lot to a game's already assembled game plan. There are dozens of new characters coming in even before the 2.0 revival, including the much-anticipated Kazuha and the recently announced Sai. Stay tuned for more as we count until the release date of Genshin Impact 2.0.
