False Information poses Similar Challenges to Biden Management and Business Leaders
U.S. surgeon Dr. Vivek H. Murthy yesterday issued a 22-page counsel and recommendations for combating false information about Covid-19. The challenges facing Biden management in combating false information about the coronavirus mirror are those that business leaders face in dealing with rumors, misinformation, and negative information about their companies, products and services.
At a press conference in the White House, Murthy explained that his Surgeon General Advisories are "subject to urgent public threats."
“False health information is false, inaccurate, or misleading about health, according to the best evidence at the time. And while it often seems innocent in social media and on sales sites or search engines, the fact is that false information deprives us of the freedom to make informed decisions about our health and the lives of our loved ones, ”he said.
Murthy noted: “During the Covid-19 epidemic, misinformation has led people to resist wearing masks in high-risk areas. It has led them to reject prescribed treatment and choose not to be vaccinated. This has led to preventable diseases and death. Simply put, health information [mis] has cost us our lives.
