UFC Fight Night Results: Miesha Tate returns with five years retirement and Marion Reneau's TKO

The most important UFC Fight Night event on Saturday was one of the most unusual street battles in UFC history, in which 34-year-old Miesha Tate retired for nearly five years as she faced Marion Reneau, 44, announced before the war that it would be the final end of her career. It was Tate who got the moment of the newsletter, hitting the third-round TKO while resuming his Octagon career.

Tate started small in the opening round before joining other strikes and eventually put him to work, finishing the round in the top spot after being relegated. It was the first light of Tate's "old" version, a fighter who once carried the nickname "Humiliation."

Reneau tried to make a change at the start of the second round, connecting with other heavy strikers in an effort to keep Tate in grade. Tate’s clash continued to be a war issue, however, finding another major factor in slowing down and using the constant flow of ground and pound to pull a stream of blood through Reneau’s nose.

The demotion was again to Tate in Round 3, and this time he did not allow Reneau to survive the ground invasion. After placing Reneau on his back, Tate's position improved until he stepped back. From there, Tate released a heavy shotgun until he was forced to stop the referee, giving Tate his first victory since winning the UFC bantamweight title at Holly Holm in March 2016.
