Paralympian scholar Olivia Breen says an official called her "short and inappropriate" shorts.

Olivia Breen, a world Paralympic world champion, said a volunteer had called her "too short and incorrect" print shorts at the English Championships.

Green, 24, said he was left "speechless" after a female official spoke like this at the English Championship after finishing a long jump race on Sunday. He said he hoped no other athlete had been made to feel uncomfortable in the sport.

"For many years I have worn shorts of the same style and designed for competition. I hope to wear them in Tokyo. This has led me to question whether a male competitor will be criticized in the same way," Breen said in a statement. .

"I see that there should be rules and guidelines regarding competition but women should not be made to feel proud of what they are wearing when they compete but they should feel comfortable and comfortable."

England Athletics did not immediately respond to CBS News' request for comment.
